Overview

CRG maintains newspaper cuttings on issues of child protection, child labour and policies concerning children. It also has a library containing books, reports and documents. It is the only documentation centre in Goa that focuses exclusively on children's issues.

Publications
CRG has been involved in bringing out four publications:

• See the Evil: A study on tourism related paedophilia (VAK: 2001, 2004) supported by VAK
  About the book:
  It is common knowledge that tourism related paedophilia is a reality in Goa.
  And yet a foreigner may take a child or a few children to his hotel room and he or she will be asked no questions.
  A policeman may know of such a case, but he will view the possession of narcotics as a more deadly offense.
  A judge may well realise that in a case where a man and a boy are sharing the same hotel room, if semen is found in the anus of both the man and the child, this is because they have had sex… yet he too chooses not to see.
  This study focuses on the growing number of paedophiles visiting Goa each year and offers recommendations on what can be done to prevent the institutionalisation of tourism related paedophilia.

• Child Sexual Abuse in Goa: A Case Study (VAK-CRG: 2006) supported by SARIQ
  About the book:
  This study attempts to analyse the effectiveness of the investigation and prosecution of cases of child sexual abuse, with a view to suggest ways in which we can enhance the delivery of justice to victims of child sexual abuse; increasing the conviction rate of offenders and facilitating the healing of the child.
• Shadows in the dark: The status of the migrant working community in Goa (VAK-CRG: 2006) supported by SARIQ
  About the book:
  Since a major part of Children's Rights in Goa's work is among the migrant community, who are among the most vulnerable in Goa, it decided to conduct a survey to determine the status of the migrant working community in Goa, This book is based on the results of the survey.
• Directory of Support Services for Children in Goa (VAK-CRG: 2006) supported by SARIQ
  About the Directory:
  The Directory attempts to bring together information about the entire gamut of services available for children in the state. In this directory CRG has attempted to provide updated information , with details about each organisation covered under the survey.
